Job description

Job Title: Networks & Security Tutor

Contract type: Variable Hours, Permanent

Location: Teesside University International Study Centre

Salary: up to £38.27 per hour (DOE)

Are you passionate about computing and eager to share your expertise with others? We are seeking a talented and dedicated Networks & Security Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will inspire and guide students in the dynamic fields of technology and computer science.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the Centre to deliver effective teaching programs on the Computing, Engineering, and Science pathway, aligning with our teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. You will also contribute to student support and the development of innovative teaching practices, including designing and developing teaching materials across various RQF levels.

Minimum requirements: Experience in Networks and Security.

About the Role
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and development of modules.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
  • Develop assessments and provide timely feedback.
  • Update course materials, including content for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Coordinate with colleagues to support student welfare and progression.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures and contribute to course reviews.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g., Computing, Computer Science, Cyber Security) – Essential.
  • Master's degree – Desirable for Level 3 teaching, Essential for Level 6.
  • Relevant Teaching Qualification – Desirable.
  • Experience teaching relevant modules in UK Higher or Further Education, especially with international students – Desirable.
