DESCRIPTION

Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Network Topology and Capacity planner that can drive innovation and execution in transportation networks. As a member of the EU Amazon Shipping team, you will collaborate with numerous cross-functional stakeholders to build a scalable and cost optimized network topology for SWA EU.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a team and initiative that is at the very start of its journey. You will be part of the core team that will design, build and implement a Collections Network which will exceed our customer's expectations.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Work with First and Middle Mile teams to coordinate Topology design and ingest the plan in forecasting cycles.
  2. Run simulations to support optimized topology decisions for SWA.
  3. Collaborate with Network Capacity teams to build Quarterly capacity solves and event planning solves for SWA alongside other volume streams.
  4. Collaborate with Last Mile teams on Mechanical and Labour Capacity and suggest optimized topology remapping.
  5. Build reports to show cost optimized vs capacity optimized solves.
  6. Simplify and reduce the manual work by automating analysis through scripts and tools such as python and R.
  7. Gather and analyze information from live operations to identify opportunities to shape the topology strategy.
  8. Define proxy information and heuristics for data that is unknown today and build on boarding guardrails.
  9. Define parameters and success criteria for live tests to confirm/deny hypothesis in models.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  2. Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  3. Experience with Excel.
  4. Experience with SQL.
  5. Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  2. Experience in business or financial analysis.
  3. Experience in logistics, finance or a related analytical field.
