Job description


Contract Length: 6 months, starting July
Rate: Up to £760/day (Outside IR35)
Location: Jersey/Mainland/Hybrid

Our client is delivering a high-impact IT Infrastructure Improvements Programme (IIIP) and is seeking a skilled Network Technical Lead to guide network strategy and execution.

This role will provide hands-on leadership across network architecture, implementation, and optimisation. You'll design and deliver secure, scalable solutions across a hybrid estate, support service resilience, and ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards. Expect to work closely with internal teams, vendors, and delivery partners in a fast-moving, outcomes-driven environment.

Key Focus Areas:

Lead design, configuration, and optimisation of network infrastructure

Oversee delivery across firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, wireless, and hybrid networking

Develop technical standards, documentation, and security strategies

Provide expert troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance tuning

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and programme stakeholders

Ideal Experience:

CCNP (required); ITIL v4; vendor-specific certs (Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper)

5+ years leading network projects in enterprise or public sector settings

Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, QoS, segmentation, and telemetry

Confident managing third-party suppliers, change controls, and compliance
