Huxley Associates, in partnership with Eni International, is seeking a Subsea Network Engineer for various international locations, including Milan and the UK.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Company Team during the Project Development Phases, focusing on engineering and detailed design for the production network.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Studying and optimizing development concepts for subsea, deepwater, and ultra-deepwater projects, with particular attention to production fluid deliverability and system operation.
- Defining subsea development schemes at both system and component levels.
- Reviewing and approving designs performed by third-party contractors, including specifications, reports, calculation notes, analyses, drawings, datasheets, and technical notes for deepwater systems such as subsea production systems, riser flow lines, and umbilical systems, ensuring compliance with project objectives, industry standards, and best practices for safety, reliability, and cost.
- Monitoring third-party contractor performance.
- Assisting the Company with R&D initiatives, particularly in architecture optimization for subsea field development and implementing new technologies like seabed processing (e.g., separation, pumping, compression).
- Supporting development projects through feasibility, basic/FEED, detailed phases, and documentation preparation for tendering work packages related to SPS, Umbilicals, R&F, and installation.
- Defining and managing interfaces between different subsea system work packages.
- Participating in subsea project design reviews.
- Ensuring the consistency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of the project design, in compliance with international standards, project specifications, company guidelines, and engineering best practices.
- Ensuring the performance, installability, and operability of subsea systems.
- Selecting the most suitable technical and economical solutions.
The ideal candidate must have a degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in subsea system and network engineering.
Key competencies include:
- Specialist knowledge of subsea industry standards.
- Knowledge of topsides and subsea interfaces.
- Experience with riser and flowline system design.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and commenting on subsea system design documentation.
- Competency in process simulation and multiphase transportation software.
- Understanding of organization processes like feedback development, technical audits, and design review.
- Knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
- Experience with construction and installation processes, including FAT testing, offshore installation supervision, and plant testing techniques.
- Project management skills, including risk management.
