About The Role

Our IT Team are looking for a dependable individual for the role of Network Support Administrator, in our busy Cheltenham office. Our IT Team are crucial to our success as a firm and underpins all our employees' ability to deliver exceptional results in their role.

The primary purpose of this role is to be part of the HCR Server Admin Team which is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the firm’s network and servers, ensuring reliability, security and optimal performance. The team are geographically spread to help support all 10 offices, which stretch as far as London.

Objectives Of Network Support Administrator
  1. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for all laptops, servers, network and other IT equipment including on-premise and cloud technologies.
  2. Working closely with the 1st line team for the delivery of IT systems in response to feedback, business and user needs.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the Server Admin Team to identify and implement new technology solutions to improve the efficiency and delivery of IT systems.
  4. Facilitating the delivery of new systems and software, working with external suppliers to do so.
Duties Of Network Support Administrator
  1. Provide proactive monitoring of the firm's hardware, software and network.
  2. Troubleshoot any Helpdesk Tickets that have been escalated to the Server Admin Team.
  3. Ensure all Helpdesk Tickets are managed efficiently, while in a manageable, prioritised fashion.
  4. Administer user accounts and security access permissions for network resources.
  5. Monitor routine backups/snapshots (as scheduled) of all main systems.
  6. Maintain accurate maintenance logs.
  7. Co-ordinate, booking and monitoring of on-site engineers for installations and maintenance.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation of network and server configurations, procedures, and policies.
  9. Assist the IT Manager and IT Director with any projects within the scope of Information Technology as required.
About You

The successful candidate will have:

  1. 2-3 years 1st or 2nd line experience with supporting Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems and applications (Office 365), Active Directory, Azure, Exchange, Intune, Citrix, VMware and Firewall.
  2. Previous experience of supporting high-volume user base across multiple sites, within a professional services organisation would be advantageous.
  3. Ability to manage and implement IT projects, products or services, applying technical knowledge to problem solve and deliver solutions.
  4. Innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills, who is comfortable with making recommendations.
  5. A high level of personal integrity, credibility and trustworthiness.
  6. Drive to deliver a reliable and robust IT experience.
