Position Summary:

Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Network Support Manager is responsible for maintenance tasks and capital projects related to network fixed assets, including meters, services, mains, and PRIs. This role involves overseeing operational activities across the network, such as pressure point validation, line sizing, capacity assurance, and Safe Control of Operations (SCO). The natural gas is delivered through an undersea pipeline from the UK and distributed across the island.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure coordination and cooperation between all internal and external organizations' proposed work.
  • Maintain communication links to notify affected persons in advance and obtain necessary approvals or data.
  • Manage procedural conflicts affecting network security of supply.
  • Liaise with Authorising Engineers to ensure contingency plans are adequate.
  • Maintain a register of personnel authorized to work on the network and validate their competencies.
  • Record notifications of operations under SCO and ensure records are accurate.
  • Ensure SCO audits are completed and review performance, reporting issues to senior management.
  • Conduct odour monitoring as per procedure.
  • Develop and maintain accurate network records and risk models.
  • Manage GIS, Network Analysis, MRPS, and data systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support asset integrity management and engineering decisions.
  • Assist with asset information standards and system improvements.
  • Participate in site surveys and data collection activities.
  • Build trust through effective communication within the team and with external agencies.
  • Monitor and control operational tasks on the gas network.
  • Report operational data and resolve hazards and incidents.
  • Support work with contractors, providing accurate drawings and minimizing customer disruption.
Health and Safety:

All staff must follow IEG Group's health and safety policies, including hazard reporting, risk assessments, incident investigations, training, and promoting a safe workplace. Compliance with rehabilitation plans after incidents is also required.
