Job summary

McGregor Boyall Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Network Splunk Developer to join a large enterprise network environment in Chester. The role focuses on telemetry, monitoring and observability across a complex infrastructure, with hybrid work and a £550 daily rate on a 12-month contract.

You will collect, normalise and onboard telemetry, develop dashboards and alerts in Splunk, and collaborate with routing, switching, wireless and SD-WAN teams.

Qualifications

• 46 years' experience in network operations, telemetry, monitoring or data analysis.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, wireless and SD-WAN.
• Hands-on Splunk experience covering data ingestion, searches, dashboards and alerting.
• Experience with SNMP, syslog, telemetry streams, APIs and device metrics.
• Ability to translate network telemetry into actionable operational insights.
• Familiarity with incident, problem and change management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities
