Role Location:

You can work from any of our 6 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham & London) or from home, your choice. The role will require 2-3 days per week onsite at Corsham on the customer site.

The Opportunity:

As an experienced Network Solution Architect, you will work within our Defence team on a major technology refresh project for a Defence customer. You will lead in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructure solutions, providing strategic direction to ensure reliable, resilient, and secure network services, while future-proofing network provisions in line with security best practices.

You will oversee the full project lifecycle, including concept formalization, requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, delivery, training, support, and maintenance.

Typical responsibilities include:
  1. Implementing complex network solutions, including design, development, and testing.
  2. Ensuring tools and methods are employed effectively in architecture development.
  3. Drafting technical Statements of Requirements for network solutions.
  4. Defining and assessing technical architectures, solutions, and business requirements.
  5. Designing, implementing, and managing servers, workstations, network storage, and networking equipment.
  6. Producing high- and low-level technical designs and high-level operating models.
  7. Following best practice Agile methodologies (SCRUM & Kanban).
  8. Providing consultancy support to customers on technology/infrastructure choices.
  9. Managing customer relationships.
  10. Keeping up with evolving technology landscapes.
  11. Providing leadership and support to team members as needed.
The Fit:

Our Network Architects enjoy working on diverse and challenging projects. We value proactive, can-do attitudes, a passion for technology, and continuous learning and improvement.

We seek someone with experience in:

  1. Network Solution Architecture in large, complex organizations.
  2. Building Enterprise IT systems in the Defence sector.
  3. Defining and assessing technical architectures and business requirements.
  4. Creating technical statements of requirements for cloud-native applications and platforms.
  5. Producing detailed technical designs.

Due to the security requirements of our work, the successful candidate must be able to obtain high-level security clearance, which requires British citizenship and residency in the UK for the past 5 years.
