Network Service Support Manager - Northampton, Northamptonshire

Contract - Permanent

Salary- Circa £43470

Who are we?

Integrated Maintenance, repair and development services (IMRDS) is the team that maintains our water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts and develops new ways to better service our customers. This area of Anglian Water has a whole host of roles and opportunities available, from operational frontline work to project management, data analysis and more.

IMRDS is part of the Embedded Alliance within Anglian Water, which means they work together with other organisations to form a partnership of skill sharing and using the best person and team for the job.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Network Service Manager, you’ll act primarily as managerial support to enable the efficient and effective operation of the water network. Maintaining water supplies and ensuring delivery of high quality water will be at the forefront of your operations. Whilst working in this dynamic, reactive environment, you’ll work closely with the Network Partners and local delivery teams, ensuring that all activities are undertaken with an emphasis on excellent customer service.

A large part of your role will be to drive great customer service within the team and take care of customer complaints that have been escalated by your team of Network Technician’s or the wider business.

You’ll manage, motivate and coach your team, who are mostly made up of field workers. They will look to you as the expert, you’ll performance manage them, provide coaching and operational support in the field to proactively manage and resolve any events or incidents, you’ll also liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure risk is managed.

What do you need?

You’ll have significant experience in front line customer driven operations with the ability to multi task under pressure. It’s essential that you have a strong focus on customer service and proven experience of leading and managing effective performance of a team. You’ll be flexible in your working approach and be able to share your knowledge and experience to ensure a consistent approach in the team.

You should have an understanding of the water industry and its Regulators. It’s a big advantage if you have worked within a customer facing position with water network operations, however, if not, you’ll quickly learn in order to increase your knowledge within the industry.

We are looking for you to have an understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and health and safety, it’s desirable for you to hold the NRSWA and IOSH qualifications.

This role requires you to have a flexible approach to working hours, there may be times when you are required to respond to incidents outside of your usual working hours.
