Job summary

NCC Group in Cheltenham is expanding its National Security Business Unit and seeks Network Security Researchers to work on challenging cyber security projects for a diverse range of clients. You’ll join a high‑calibre team with deep expertise and be involved in research, reporting, and client tooling.

The role requires experience in research activities, knowledge of network protocols and OSI model, and a high level National Security clearance.

Qualifications

• Clearance: high level National Security clearance required.
• Experience: research activities in cyber security or related field.
• Relevant technical experience in the research areas.
• Leadership: ability to lead and develop team members.
• Business systems: proficiency with standard business tools (Microsoft, etc).
• Technical skills: knowledge of network protocol and OSI model.

Responsibilities

• Contribute individually and within teams on projects.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• Create technical reports detailing findings.
• Contribute to client tooling and shared knowledge.
• Lead and grow a technology capability area.
