Job summary

Free-Work UK in London is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer (Eligible for SC Clearance) to own security across global systems, including satellite and communications technologies. You will work with compliance and engineering teams to embed robust security practices and protect systems against evolving threats.

The role involves designing, implementing and maintaining security solutions, actively monitoring threats with SIEM/IDS-IPS, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing network security across complex environments.
• Strong incident response and threat-hunting capabilities.
• Hands-on with multi-vendor networking environments (Cisco/Juniper).
• Familiarity with ISO27001, GDPR and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain network security solutions across internal and customer systems.
• Monitor security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS) and respond to incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Provide third-line support and act as escalation point for security issues.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
