Familiar with IPS/IDS, SSL decryption, deep packet inspection
Experience managing Bluecoat or F5 proxies
Knowledge of IPSec, SSL/TLS, VPNs, 2FA, DMZ architectures
Comfortable with monitoring tools like PRTG or Nagios
Experience with Darktrace, Splunk, LogRhythm

Network Security Engineer (NOC)

Salary: Up to £55,000 + shift allowance + bonus

Security Clearance: Must hold active DV clearance.

Join a forward-thinking team as a Network Security Engineer (NOC), helping to protect and optimise critical network infrastructure. You\'ll work within a 24x7 ISR and NOC environment, ensuring network reliability while defending against evolving threats.

Responsibilities
  • In this hands-on Network Security Engineer role, you\'ll support incident triage with the SOC, design and implement secure network solutions, and collaborate across teams to identify vulnerabilities and improve performance.
  • You\'ll also help optimise NOC tools and standardise network security platforms for greater resilience.
What you\'ll bring
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs, and load balancing
  • Experience as a NOC or Network Security Engineer in a 24x7 setting
  • Hands-on with Cisco, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Familiar with IPS/IDS, SSL decryption, and deep packet inspection
  • Experience managing Bluecoat or F5 proxies
