A leading technology firm in the UK is looking for a Network Security Engineer (NOC) to protect and optimise critical network infrastructure. You will work in a 24x7 ISR and NOC environment, supporting incident triage and collaborating to enhance network security. The ideal candidate must have strong skills in TCP/IP, Cisco, and firewall management, with active DV clearance. This is a hands-on position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs, and load balancing.
  • Experience as a NOC or Network Security Engineer in a 24x7 setting.
  • Hands-on with Cisco, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Familiar with IPS/IDS, SSL decryption, and deep packet inspection.
  • Experience managing Bluecoat or F5 proxies.
  • Knowledge of IPSec, SSL/TLS, VPNs, 2FA, and DMZ architectures.
  • Comfortable with monitoring tools like PRTG or Nagios.

Network Security Engineer (NOC)

Salary: Up to £55,000 + shift allowance + bonus
Security Clearance: Must hold active DV clearance.

Join a forward-thinking team as a Network Security Engineer (NOC), helping to protect and optimise critical network infrastructure. You’ll work within a 24x7 ISR and NOC environment, ensuring network reliability while defending against evolving threats.

Responsibilities
  • In this hands-on Network Security Engineer role, you’ll support incident triage with the SOC, design and implement secure network solutions, and collaborate across teams to identify vulnerabilities and improve performance.
  • You’ll also help optimise NOC tools and standardise network security platforms for greater resilience.
What you’ll bring
