Job Description

In your role, you will support complex network architectures by developing, designing, configuring, and implementing detailed network engineering strategies and solutions that meet or exceed capability, flexibility, scalability, performance, and reliability objectives for large projects across multiple technologies within your technical expertise.

You will also provide technical leadership to team, vendor, and contractor resources, ensuring the viability of designs, flawless execution, and seamless transition into the production environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Independently perform highly complex assignments.
  2. Design, architect, manage, and deploy new and existing routing and switching within campus, cloud, and data center networks.
  3. Lead proper execution of network changes and updates in accordance with security policies to meet business requirements.
  4. Ensure network performance and conformance to security standards, including CVE assessments.
  5. Troubleshoot network issues logically and resolve problems efficiently.
  6. Research, recommend, and establish innovative solutions for capacity planning that scales with business growth.
  7. Introduce automation where possible for routine administrative tasks.
  8. Collaborate with all IT disciplines.
  9. Create, maintain, and update network documentation.
  10. Serve as escalation resource during major incidents and outages.
  11. Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
  12. Support network deployments and upgrades throughout their lifecycle.
  13. Collaborate on project scoping to align with architectural goals.
  14. Refine processes, policies, and best practices for optimal performance.
  15. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and their potential business value.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 5-7 years of relevant networking experience.
  3. Experience with network design and engineering.
  4. Strong analytical, customer service, and communication skills.
  5. Leadership and mentoring abilities.
  6. Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco NGFW), F5 Big IP, LTM, GTM, ASM, AFM, or similar ADCs.
  7. Knowledge of Infoblox DNS, DHCP, NTP.
  8. Proficiency with Wireshark, Viavi for packet analysis.
  9. Understanding of Linux OS.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  2. Automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, IaC).
  3. Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
  4. Experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms.
  5. Understanding of switching protocols (Spanning Tree, Port Channels).
  6. Experience with network monitoring, NetFlow, capacity management.
  7. Experience with Gigamon Packet Broker.
  8. Experience with ISR, ASR, Nexus, Catalyst, wireless, ACI, Meraki, SDWAN, ISE.
