Job description

Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Job Description

As a Network Security Engineer, you will leverage Low-Level Design (LLD) and other project materials to prepare, deploy, test, and fix deliverables. These include technologies and services such as firewall devices and configurations, F5 technologies including proxy and load balancer, authentication and encryption mechanisms, access management, and Out-of-Band Management (OoBM) access.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a clear understanding of requirements through discussions with the design team, technical resources, and the customer as needed.
  • Prepare Method and Communication plans for work conducted under change control post-build stage.
  • Execute change control with reference to operational processes and controls, including communication and monitoring awareness.
  • Adhere to standards for all build and configuration activities, maintaining appropriate structure, scope, and naming conventions.
  • Support installation of security network devices into racks or cabinets, install the base image, connect to OoBM systems, and liaise with field engineers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Assist in testing activities, triage, and remediation related to network functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to prioritise, schedule, execute, and report the progress of work.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in managing firewall devices and configurations, particularly Cisco and Checkpoint.
  • Experience with F5 technologies, including proxy and load balancer.
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles.
  • Ability to manage load balancers and security measures effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE Security Clearance (SC). (Held by MOJ, MOD, Home Office, Desnz)
