Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited is seeking a Network Security Architect in Stevenage. The role offers hybrid working (2-3 days on site) with a £65,000 salary and a strong emphasis on secure network design across national and international projects, including NATO contexts.

Network Security Architect

Stevenage | Circa £65,000 | Hybrid, 2-3 days on site

Bored of designing networks nobody will ever see?

This one's classified. You'll be architecting network solutions for environments most engineers never get near, working across national and international projects, at every level of classification, in some cases across NATO member countries.

If you've spent your career pushing network architecture forward, and you want that work to actually matter, this is worth ten minutes of your time.

What you'll be doing

You’ll design network architectures for highly secure environments, from early concept through to delivery. Some days that's chairing technical design reviews with peers across national operations teams. Other days it's pitching architecture decisions to information security colleagues, or setting direction on where the network goes next, including the move to cloud services.

You’ll work with network operations, information security, application teams and SOC colleagues, across multiple countries and multiple classification levels. Diplomacy matters here as much as technical depth. You’ll often be finding the middle path between competing technical approaches, not just picking one and enforcing it.

What you’ll need

• Strong background in network architecture and design, with real depth in network security, not just general infrastructure
• Experience working with classified information, ideally within the UK and/or NATO member countries, and comfortable with the standards that come with it
• Able to chair and coordinate technical design discussions, not just contribute to them
• Comfortable operating in an international, multi-cultural team
• Confident working across internal customer groups, business analysts and technical teams
• Eligible for DV clearance, sole British citizenship required

If you've got TOGAF, CCNP, CISSP or equivalent certifications, or hands-on accreditation experience against Def Stan or NATO security standards, that will stand out.
