We are looking for Product and Service Management colleagues who are enthusiastic with an aptitude and interest in digital. While technical requirements can be learned on the job through structured learning and collaboration with experienced colleagues, experience in a technical/service management and delivery role is essential.

DWP Infrastructure Services (Networks) manages a range of Network Services and Products, working with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and customers to ensure operational stability, availability, and quality of DWP Networks.

Our responsibilities include supporting engineering to maintain a robust and resilient infrastructure, reviewing products, services, and processes, and aligning roadmaps with Business Services and Device Lifecycles from procurement to disposal.

Using tools like Splunk and ServiceNow, we assess Network services across Data Centres with a Secure Boundary network, integrating with Cloud Service Providers to provide secure, resilient services.

Experience in delivery management is required to support Project Managers on larger projects and lead smaller deliveries from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.

Job Description

You should demonstrate an excellent understanding of your products and services, using various tools to contribute to Capacity & Performance reporting by analyzing data.

You will also need a good understanding of Incident and Problem Management within the ITIL framework, focusing on root cause analysis to prevent incidents and proactively resolve service issues. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing changes to ensure successful delivery, working closely with Engineers.
  • Contributing to continual service improvement across your product range.
  • Building and maintaining influential relationships with stakeholders across Network Services, including engineering, financial, and commercial teams.
  • Ensuring products and services comply with security measures and managing vulnerabilities with security experts.
  • Developing roadmaps for network products and services, managing their lifecycle from installation to decommissioning.
  • Proactively managing operational risk registers, reporting, and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Supporting onboarding of new products and services, developing related processes and communications.
  • Maintaining guidance and work instructions for effective service management.
  • Contributing to Finance Management reporting and validating billing processes.
  • Working with vendors to ensure obligations are met, managing non-compliance, and refreshing contracts as needed.
  • Using tools to track and manage network assets and documentation via the CMDB.

Additional responsibilities include developing product roadmaps, managing risk, onboarding new services, and ensuring security compliance.
