Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Network Optimisation Manager to design efficient transport and network solutions across Europe. You will lead strategic projects, analyse data and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that improve service and reduce cost.

You will oversee multimodal transport design, drive performance improvements, and mentor a high-performing team in a fast-paced logistics environment at the Solihull site.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport solutions design and network engineering.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
• Hands-on with transport modelling or planning systems (Coupa preferred).

• Design and optimise inbound transport networks for cost-effective production site delivery.
• Analyse large volumes of supply chain data to review performance and identify opportunities.
• Manage transport solutions across a European network with ~1,500 deliveries weekly.
• Use Coupa and planning tools to model and implement transport solutions.
• Lead multimodal transport projects to improve service and reduce cost.
• Collaborate with customers, operations, procurement and planning teams.
• Support adoption of new planning technologies and platforms.

We're now looking for an Network Optimisation Manager to help shape the future of logistics. In this exciting and highly influential role, you'll design smarter, more efficient transport and supply chain networks, lead strategic improvement projects, and work with customers and stakeholders across Europe to deliver innovative solutions that reduce cost, improve service, and drive operational excellence.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Designing and optimising complex inbound transport networks, ensuring materials are collected and delivered to production sites in the most cost-effective and efficient way possible.
• Analysing large volumes of supply chain data to review network performance, identify opportunities, and support strategic network redesign initiatives.
• Managing and developing transport solutions across a European network comprising approximately 1,500 deliveries per week, 1,000 suppliers, and multiple manufacturing locations.
• Using Coupa and other planning tools to model, validate, and implement transport and network optimisation solutions.
• Leading multimodal transport design projects, evaluating the most effective mix of transport modes to improve service and reduce cost.
• Collaborating with customers, operations, procurement, and planning teams to deliver innovative supply chain and transport solutions.
• Supporting the implementation of new planning technologies and tools, including network optimisation and transport planning platforms.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Have experience in transport solutions design, supply chain engineering, or network optimisation.
• Have experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive successful project delivery across complex logistics networks.
• Are highly analytical and enjoy using data, systems, and technology to solve complex supply chain challenges.
• Have hands-on experience with transport modelling or planning systems, ideally Coupa, or similar.
• Understand transport chain management and can design end-to-end logistics solutions that balance cost, service, and operational requirements.
• Have experience of network redesign projects and enjoy challenging the status quo to deliver operational improvements.
• Bring knowledge of multimodal transport and understand how different transport modes can be leveraged within an integrated supply chain.
• Thrive in fast-paced, international logistics environments where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are key to success.
