The Senior Technical Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure. This includes routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and other related hardware. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting network issues and providing technical support to internal staff.

The role is home-based with requirement to travel (field)

What you'll do

• Customer Design:
  • Maintain an expert-level understanding of our technical product functionalities and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support presales activities by collaborating with the Presales team to align solutions with client needs.
  • Conduct testing and validation of new equipment, technologies, and services.
  • Lead technical design and implementation of connectivity and TV infrastructure, including site surveys, configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• In-Life Operations:
  • Provide third-line support and manage complex network issues.
  • Oversee operational delivery ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain edge network infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
  • Manage configuration and change processes.
  • Maintain relationships with hardware and software vendors.

What you'll bring:

• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Experience configuring and deploying Juniper Mist, Ruckus, Cisco, or Cradlepoint WAN/LAN/WLAN products.
• Experience with wireless controllers, switches, access points, and routers.
• Knowledge of network design including SD-WAN.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as CWNP, CCNP, JNCIS or equivalent.
• Expertise in 802.11 wireless technologies; experience with Ekahau or similar tools preferred.
• Experience with APIs and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) is advantageous.
• Understanding of SMATV, IPTV, and Fibre distribution systems is advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
