A leading company in telecommunications is seeking a Network Migration Controller to oversee migration processes. This non-technical role requires strong project management skills and collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth transitions. Job Title: Network Migration Controller - Non-Technical Role
Location: Fully remote working in the UK.
Salary/Rate: £39.56 per hour inside IR35 - 37.5hrs per week.
Start Date: June 2025
Job Type: 6-month initial contract, Monday-Thursday - Working hours are 2pm - 5pm and 9pm - 3.30am per day.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Network Migration Controller is responsible for managing the execution and overseeing the migration of the Asset Group, ensuring a smooth and successful transition.
We are looking for a non-technical person with Network Change knowledge, who will work with the people that are carrying out the migrations, to ensure all the planning and execution is carried out (for those migrations).
This is a 4-day-a-week contract (Monday-Thursday), with working hours of 14:00 - 17:00 and 21:00 - 03:00 per day.
Required Skills/Experience
1. Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
2. Network Change
3. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
5. Technical Skills: Experience in telco migrations - expectation is to have basic technical skills
6. Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams
7. Very good at recording events and reporting
8. Helix and Remedy experience (Desirable)
Role and Responsibility
1. Pre-Migration - Raise CRQ's, understand the control book and Method of procedure, send out the bridge invite to all participants in the migration
2. Oversee the execution of migration activities,
3. Ensuring they are completed with the change management window
4. Manage and coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders throughout the migration process
5. Monitor tasks during the progression of migration - documenting any issues, delays, lessons learnt through various stages of the migration.
6. Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of migration progress.
7. Identify and resolve issues that arise during the migration process using the technical resources on the bridge
