This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large trust with future growth plans, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, working collaboratively across the trust.

Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to ensure efficient IT service delivery, responding to requests and resolving issues promptly. Operational responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also handle the IT budget for your schools and coordinate with third-party suppliers for IT procurement.

Applicants should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of systems and processes relevant to this environment.
