Job description

This hybrid role involves working both from home and on-site across the region, requiring flexibility to travel as needed. The position is 37.5 hours per week and includes participation in OOH (on-call and out-of-hours services), including nights, weekends, and occasional overnight stays for planned and unexpected maintenance activities.

As the UK's largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we're busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be. Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, but also help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives, and support economic growth locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you?

The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Network Maintenance Supervisor

The Network Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for safeguarding CityFibre's network infrastructure across a national area, overseeing civil and fibre construction activities. The role ensures timely, compliant delivery of maintenance and diversionary works, supporting out-of-hours operations and emergency restoration services. You'll receive a salary up to £43,000, a car allowance, a performance-related bonus, and a range of benefits to support your financial, physical, and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  1. Act as the first responder and point of contact for ERS, Section 81s, network damages, and diversionary works
  2. Conduct impact assessments, manage cable migrations, and coordinate with external stakeholders to meet delivery milestones
  3. Perform routine asset inspections, document findings, and arrange corrective actions to maintain network integrity
  4. Support complex maintenance tasks and ensure high standards of safety, quality, and compliance across all field activities
