Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced paediatric nurse with LTV experience to join the East of England Paediatric Critical Care Operational Delivery Network (EoE PCC ODN) to cover maternity leave on a secondment. You will be part of the PCC ODN Education team and support the LTV workstream across the EoE while contributing to education and regional LTV workstreams aligned with the NCEPOD recommendations.

The post holder will, in collaboration with the tertiary LTV service and the Network LTV clinical lead, continue the delivery and evaluation of LTV education packages across the EoE and provide MDT LTV education across the network, offering support to individual Trusts where required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the LTV workstream in the EoE and contribute to pathways of care for children and young people requiring LTV across the region.
  • Deliver LTV education packages across the EoE and provide MDT education and support to Trusts as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams regionally to improve patient flow and experience when moving from PICU to ward/home.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other ODN LTV and education teams across the country to rationalise resources and reduce variation in clinical care and education.
  • Teach using various methods including face-to-face and virtual platforms; maintain excellent knowledge of paediatric LTV practice.
  • Travel to Trusts within the EoE as required.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Paediatric nurse with LTV experience and strong educational/teaching skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of national education frameworks.
  • Capacity to deliver education across different formats (in-person and virtual) and to support regional LTV workstreams.
