Chapman Tate is proud to be working with a leading IT Services organisation, currently seeking a Field Network Engineer to join their expanding UK operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge Cisco technology in a role that’s 80% field-based, covering Data Centres along the M4 Corridor—with the flexibility to work from home or an office the remaining 20%.

• Deliver on-site network engineering support, including racking, stacking, and physical installs across client data centre environments
• Provide 3rd line network support, troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues
• Configure and deploy complex Cisco network solutions using Cisco Fabric, DNAC, FMC, and Firepower
• Collaborate with internal and client teams to ensure seamless network performance and delivery
• Maintain compliance with security clearance processes and best practices
• Strong experience with Cisco technologies, particularly:
• FMC (Firepower Management Center)
• Firepower NGFW
• Confident with hands-on work: racking, stacking, and configuring network hardware
• Comfortable operating at a 3rd line support level
• Experience working in data centre environments
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the M4 corridor and occasionally to Northampton Data Centre

Security Requirements:

• Must be eligible for BPSS and SC clearance
• Minimum 5 years continuous UK residency or British nationality required
• Candidates must be located along the M4 corridor (Swindon, Reading, Slough, etc.) or in Northampton/Milton Keynes
• This is a field-based role (80%) with 20% home or office-based flexibility
