Job summary

Randstad Technologies in London seeks a hands-on Network Engineering Design Lead to be the technical authority for a mission-focused team. You will drive enterprise-grade network architectures with security and operational excellence on-site.

Responsibilities include governing High-Level and Low-Level designs, defining secure architectures, and collaborating with security and solution architects to deliver end-to-end solutions, while driving automation using Ansible or Terraform.

Qualifications

• DV clearance (Current, active) is mandatory.
• Deep expertise in Core/Distribution/Access design, L2/L3, OSPF, EIGRP, and redundancy protocols.
• Spine-and-leaf data centre architectures, VXLAN overlays, VMware NSX.
• Firewall architecture, micro-segmentation, Palo Alto, Cisco Secure Firewall, NIST/CIS controls.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or API-driven automation.

Location: London (5 days/week on-site)

Duration: 6 months

The Role:

• Drive technology evaluations, PoCs, and automation initiatives.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Clearance: Current, active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance is mandatory.
• Routing & Switching: Deep expertise in Core/Distribution/Access design, L2/L3, OSPF, EIGRP, and redundancy protocols.
• Data Centre: Spine-and-leaf architectures, VXLAN overlays, VMware NSX.
