Our client is looking for a DV cleared Network Engineer to join their IP management team working on critical national infrastructure in London. You'll need solid hands‑on experience with enterprise routing, LAN switching, and network security technologies.

Key responsibilities
- Design, build, test, validate, and maintain all network infrastructure components.
- Implement new and enhanced network technologies aligned to customer strategic direction.
- Maintain standards for global network infrastructure including wireless, LAN, and SD-WAN.
- Manage installation, testing, and setup of physical and virtual network hardware.
- Ensure currency and ongoing supportability of networking technology across the estate.
- Support enterprise and remote site connectivity solutions for large-scale customers.
- Deliver work packages as part of a customer-focused engineering capability team.
Skills & experience
- Experience with enterprise and operator-scale routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP or RSVP.
- Strong knowledge of LAN switching in data centre and enterprise environments, including RSTP/MSTP, LAG, MC-LAG or SPB.
- Experience implementing network security technologies including MACSEC, IPSEC, and 802.1x.
- Knowledge of network security design including Firewall, IDS, and IPS management and configuration.
- Hands‑on experience with first-hop resilience and security protocols in enterprise environments.
- Ability to manage installation and configuration of both physical and virtual network hardware.
- Experience supporting SD-WAN, wireless, and global network infrastructure standards.
- Must hold or be eligible for DV clearance — requires 10+ years of UK residency.
- Ability to contribute to engineering strategy and broader technical direction.
- Experience managing complex work activities spanning technical, financial, and quality dimensions.
- Confidence engaging and building relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
- Ability to apply a wide range of technical and management principles creatively across projects.
