Network Engineer (Automation)

CACI Network Services is a rapidly expanding specialist IT and Networks consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments with our major clients in Global Media, Banking, Government, Telecoms & Utilities.

Essential Experience: (must-have skills/qualifications)

• Solid experience of working in a high-pressure, large-scale, global environment.
• Strong understanding of Web Security - Web Application Firewalls & API Security Gateways.
• Experience developing tools for Network & Security Engineering Teams.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Understanding of distributed multi-tier architectures.
• Knowledge of change control procedures and incident reporting methodologies.
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning (IaaS) and application delivery (PaaS).
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar role within a large multi-functional environment.
• Good working knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Experience implementing key business applications from testing through to live deployment.
• Familiarity with various delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, SaFE, LeSS, Kanban, XP).

Essential Technical Experience:

• Understanding of firewalls.
• Experience automating networking & security devices.
• At least 5 years' experience in a DevOps/Automation role.
• Experience with automation frameworks, specifically Ginger.
• Strong development skills in Bash and Python.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful services.
• Understanding of the application build lifecycle and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Good understanding of Agile delivery practices.
