Job description

Job Title: Network Engineer - Arista Specialist
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid Working)
Day Rate: £400 - £425
Job Type: Long Term Contract

We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer with a deep understanding of Arista network solutions, to help our client, design, implement, and support scalable, high-performance networks across their enterprise/data centre environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Arista EOS, CloudVision, and modern network protocols including BGP, EVPN, and Multicast.


Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Design, deploy, and maintain Arista-based network infrastructure.

• Configure and troubleshoot BGP and EVPN routing across Layer 2/3 networks.

• Support Multicast configurations for real-time traffic distribution (PIM, IGMP).

• Leverage Arista CloudVision for centralised network management, telemetry, and automation.

• Collaborate with architecture, security, and DevOps teams to ensure network stability, scalability, and compliance.

• Automate network tasks using tools like Ansible or Python (desirable).

• Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and incident response.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Proven experience working with Arista EOS switches in production environments.

• Strong knowledge of BGP, EVPN (VXLAN), and Multicast routing protocols.

• Hands-on experience with CloudVision for config management and monitoring.

• Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 networking principles and troubleshooting techniques.

• Familiarity with network automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
