Overview:We are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join our team in supporting a Healthcare Organisation. The role involves the development, support, and maintenance of Cisco-based network infrastructure across multiple sites in North Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Provide support and troubleshooting for Cisco management systems, telephony solutions, and other IP network components.
Ensure the security of the network through the management of firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
Monitor network performance, addressing issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Work closely with stakeholders to implement and refine network solutions that meet organisational requirements.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams and procedural guidelines.
Liaise with vendors and service providers for upgrades and technical support.
Travel to various sites across North Wales to provide on-site assistance as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Cisco Network Engineer, ideally within a multi-site environment.
Proficiency in Cisco management platforms and telephony systems (e.g., Cisco Call Manager).
Strong knowledge of IP networking, including routing, switching, and VLAN configuration.
Familiarity with network security tools and principles (e.g., Cisco ASA, firewalls, and VPNs).
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder interaction.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within North Wales.
Desirable Qualifications:
Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
Experience working within the healthcare sector or other regulated industries.
