Job summary

Telent Technology Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Network Design Engineer to shape the next generation of rail-focused network solutions. You will design networks, create plans, and work through from concept to deployment in a hybrid role with travel to Warwick or client sites.

You'll bring experience in network design, Cisco and Juniper, ideally within rail, and contribute to cost forecasting, material selection and regulatory compliance as part of a collaborative Telent team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Network Design for DDaT within Rail Division.
• Familiar with Cisco and Juniper technologies and rail-focused environments.

We are looking for an experienced Network Design Engineer to help in creating ideas for new products or services and drawing up plans for a new design with our Rail Division. The role is hybrid with some travel to Warwick or client sites.

What you’ll do:

Take ideas from the initial design stage through to the production and or installations process. Drawing up detailed technical plans for ideas and concepts. Using mathematical and scientific skills to create workable, real-world solutions to problems. Selecting the appropriate materials for a new product or a new construction. Calculating an accurate cost analysis forecast for a project. Completing the required technical and regulatory documents May be required to ensure quality-control tests on a new product/system and overseeing its construction/manufacture, development and deployment.

Who you are:

You will have previous Network Engineer experience including Network Design, Cisco, Juniper and experience ideally within a Rail focussed environment/sector.

Key Requirements:

• Deliver network designs for DDaT within our Rail Division, scope of work documentation, schema outline designs, topology diagrams, detailed Infrastructure designs, bill of materials, physical & logical design schematics and node configurations.
• Creating ideas for new products or services and drawing up plans for a new design.
• Taking ideas from the initial design stage through to the production and or installations process.
• Drawing up detailed technical plans for ideas and concepts
• Using mathematical and scientific skills to create workable, real-world solutions to problems
• Selecting the appropriate materials for a new product or a new construction
• Calculating an accurate cost analysis forecast for a project
• Completing the required technical and regulatory documents
