Job summary

World Wide Technology is seeking a Network Engineer to own design, automation and lifecycle management of global core network infrastructure. The role requires deep Cisco IOS-XR and NSO automation expertise, with a track record migrating large-scale networks and delivering complex upgrades across a global estate.

The contract is 6 months, inside IR35, with hybrid work: 2 days onsite per week in London. Candidates will undergo background checks and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in large enterprise or service provider network environments.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco IOS-XR architecture and troubleshooting.
• Strong grounding in MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and EVPN.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco 8000, ASR 9000, or NCS 5500/5700.
• Strong Cisco NSO experience, including YANG, Python, and NETCONF/REST.
• Experience with DWDM and optical transport networking.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor engagement skills.
• CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise or Service Provider).
• Experience with Cisco Crosswork, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Financial services or investment banking experience.
• SD-WAN or Arista CloudVision experience.

Responsibilities

• Support change management, CAB reviews, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain engineering standards and technical documentation.

The ideal candidate brings deep Cisco IOS-XR and NSO automation expertise, with a track record leading large-scale network migrations, software upgrades, and hardware refresh programmes across a complex global estate.

This is a contract Role & Inside IR35

Contract Duration: 6 months

Key Responsibilities
