Qualifications

Job Purpose

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing network systems across Vaultex. This role ensures the stability, security, and high availability of the company's network infrastructure to support core business operations and future scalability. The engineer will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and deliver technical solutions to meet organizational needs.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Configuring and installing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
  2. Performing network maintenance and upgrades, applying patches, and ensuring security configurations are current.
  3. Monitoring network performance to ensure system availability and reliability, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
  4. Providing Level 2/3 support to resolve network issues within established change management policies.
  5. Implementing security tools, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the security team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
  1. Deep knowledge of network protocols, wireless networking, network security, and telephony.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  5. Proven experience in network engineering.
  6. Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Routing.
  7. Experience with network diagnostic and analytics tools.
Desirable

Experience with FortiManager, Palo Alto Firewalls, Juniper Switching/Routing, Meraki WiFi, Solarwinds.
