Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Birmingham, UK (Hybrid)

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues with strong problem-solving skills.
2. Provide support for VLANs, static routing, and dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and EIGRP.
3. Configure and maintain Spanning-tree Protocol to ensure network reliability.
4. Set up and manage site-to-site VPN configurations for secure communication.
5. Implement and maintain Access Control List (ACL) rules to enhance network security.
6. Administer and optimise DHCP and DNS services for efficient network operations.
7. Work with SD-WAN solutions to improve network performance and security.
8. Manage firewall solutions, with experience in Meraki and SonicWall being advantageous.
9. Support switch infrastructure, with experience in Meraki, HP Aruba, and Zyxel being beneficial.

Key Requirements

1. Proven experience in network infrastructure engineering.
2. Strong understanding of networking protocols and configurations.
3. Hands-on experience with VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP), and Spanning-tree Protocol.
4. Knowledge of firewall and network security best practices.
5. Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions and site-to-site VPN setup.
6. Experience with firewall vendors (Meraki/SonicWall preferred) and switch vendors (Meraki, HP Aruba, Zyxel advantageous).
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
8. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
