Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform local, remote and inter-networking design, implementation and documentation.
  • Utilize and integrate network components such as bridges, routers and remote asynchronous links.
  • Monitor the performance of the network platform and make technical recommendations on improvements if necessary.
  • Identify business leads, interface with sales and provide input into technical proposal development.
  • Coordinate and take lead of assigned projects in all technical and communication aspects.
  • Provide technical networking support to customers and peers.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing operations of network access control devices including firewalls, web proxies, and SSL VPN devices.
  • Work collaboratively across a variety of business units to implement new technology.
  • Build and configure solutions in the development, test and production environments.
  • Document the security infrastructure and design.
  • Manage problems, maintain vendor relationships, and assist operations with vendor escalation and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate device refresh of network security devices with a focus on capacity, manageability, and security of new and existing security infrastructure.
  • Design, deploy, and support enterprise class devices.
  • Troubleshoot issues including network protocol and log analysis, raw data captures, and the correlation of disparate events spanning multiple devices and platforms.
  • Provide enterprise network architecture, design, and support including network hardware, network protocols, and data flows.
Job Requirements
  • CCNA or CCNP certifications or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in network design, implementation and documentation.
  • Experience with switching, routing, Wi-Fi and FW/VPN on Cisco platform.
  • Experience with Checkpoint firewalls.
  • Experience designing and maintaining Checkpoint Firewall-1/VPN-1 solutions (R65 and above).
  • Experience upgrading HW/SW gateways and management.
  • Experience working with IP appliance platforms.
  • Experience creating VPN tunnels to customer network.
  • Receiving supervision on issues related to procedures and standards relevant to the products responsible for and the operating environment in which they function.
Work Conditions
  • Working hours: 3 full days per week.
  • Contract type: Fixed-term – duration to be determined.
