Job description

Role Title: Network Engineer
Duration: 4 Months
Location: Barrow-In-Furness full time
Rate: £550- £600 per day - Umbrella only
Active SC Clearance required

Role purpose / summary
  1. Inputting into High Level Designs
  2. Creating Low Level designs from approved High Level Designs
  3. Configuring core infrastructure components e.g. Data Centre Fabric, Access/Distribution Switches, routers, WAN, firewalls, load balancers, Authentication servers, Wifi controllers, management tooling.
  4. Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.
  5. Performing testing to pre-determined plans and analyse results.
  6. Planning surveys / surveying for cross/site distribution areas (Fibre) - checking for cabling power/space (photos to be taken)
  7. Installing new SDA switches in readiness for OOH work for installation/take on and testing of kit, providing ELS and decom/removal of old switches Installation/take on and testing of new SDA kit
