Overview

We are looking for a Network Design Engineer to join us and take responsibility for providing the network solutions that underpin all applications and services across Kingfisher and our banners, ensuring service excellence in our stores and online.

This role is based at our B&Q head office just outside Southampton, with the expectation of 3 days a week in the office and travel to other sites across the UK and Europe as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver network stability and availability, supporting the design, support, and delivery of projects.
• Design, test, and implement SD-WAN/WAN/LAN/WiFi/Security solutions within head offices, stores, distribution centres, data centres, and network connectivity into the cloud.
• Contribute to the development of the network roadmap, strategy, and standards, including assessing vendor solutions and new innovations.
• Stay updated on third-party services, telecom industry benchmarks, and trends to identify opportunities for platform development, focusing on simplification and cost reduction.
