Job Description
Network Design Engineer
Industry: Defence/ Security
Location: Basingstoke
Onsite: 5 days per week
The Opportunity:
For the UK Government, safeguarding Security is an around-the-clock mission. To tackle the complexity of this challenge, central intelligence and military agencies turn to this technology firm as a trusted partner.
The Role:
You will play a pivotal role in delivering a critical MoD network infrastructure programme. While not an architect, you will lead network design efforts, building secure and scalable solutions that meet stringent requirements. Your responsibilities include researching, planning, and developing high- and low-level design artefacts, ensuring seamless implementation and service handovers.
Beyond design, you will take a hands-on approach to technical configurations, automating deployments where possible and maintaining professional documentation. Additionally, you will provide 4th Line support, collaborating directly with vendors to resolve complex issues, ensuring a future-ready and resilient network infrastructure.
