Position Overview

As a member of the Network Deployment team, you will be responsible for implementing network infrastructure for both new and existing customers.

You will utilize our primary networking solutions, including Fortinet firewalls, Cisco, Meraki, Extreme switching, and Ruckus wireless, to optimize and secure customer environments.

You will provide operational support within the Engineering department, involving product evaluations, upgrade implementations, network expansion, monitoring, and documentation.

You will follow established standards and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities

1. Handle diverse networking environments across various business clients.
2. Analyze and document unfamiliar network environments.
3. Coordinate with relevant teams for equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
4. Support the development of network standards and processes.
5. Deploy and activate network solutions and internet circuits.
6. Troubleshoot network incidents and escalate when necessary.
7. Demonstrate knowledge of network design and best practices.
8. Set client and senior engineer expectations during implementation.
9. Manage project processes to ensure successful deployments.
10. Identify additional service opportunities during project initiation.
11. Present project plans at technical kick-offs.
12. Create technical implementation plans, considering outage windows and risks.
13. Complete projects within scheduled maintenance windows.
14. Transition completed work to support with proper documentation.
15. Escalate issues to senior engineers as needed.
16. Communicate project details and potential impacts to customers.
17. Resolve client incidents with appropriate urgency.
18. Manage time effectively to handle multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Fortinet NSE4 or higher certification preferred.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, team-oriented individual.
• 1-3 years of networking and firewall experience.
• Proficiency with IPV4, VPN, TCP/IP, and Next-Generation Firewalls.
• Experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, Ruckus, and Extreme products.
• Knowledge of Visio and monitoring tools like Nagios, SolarWinds preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
