A leading consultancy in technology solutions is seeking a Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team. This is a 6-month hybrid contract based in Edinburgh, requiring up to 2-3 days onsite per week. Qualifications

Network & Cybersecurity Engineer

6 Month contract initially

Based: Hybrid/Edinburgh (Max - 2-3 days p/w onsite)

Rate: £Market rates p/d (via Umbrella company)

We have a great opportunity with a world-leading organisation where you will be provided with all the support and development to succeed. A progressive organisation where you can really make a difference. We are seeking a Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strong knowledge of Software development, lifecycle, and Agile development process
  2. Hands-on experience in creating DevOps pipelines, containerization, etc.
  3. Experience with Cyber Security concepts for Software / product development, capable of analysing cyber vulnerabilities and providing mitigation steps
  4. Ability to set up processes for Cyber Security guidelines for product development and establish tools to enforce these guidelines
  5. Risk identification and management
  6. Data management and analysis
Key Skills & Experience:
  1. Good understanding of Network & Cyber Security practices applicable to utilities systems
  2. Knowledge of product development in Agile & DevOps
  3. Experience with utilities system and power system applications support
  4. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interface with customers and cross-functional teams
  5. Positive attitude in stressful situations when dealing with customers and colleagues
  6. Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
  7. Familiarity with remote monitoring and diagnostics solutions and concepts
Desirable Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  1. Customer success focus, fostering balanced relationships to ensure high customer support and satisfaction
  2. Leadership in strategizing with internal staff and customers to resolve and prevent issues
  3. Engagement with customers on daily issues; organizing calls to facilitate solutions and cybersecurity guidelines
  4. Knowledge transfer through documentation and acting as a technical resource; mentoring staff
  5. Contributing to the Knowledge Base for customer-specific issues
  6. Analyzing and troubleshooting customer solutions
  7. Adherence to quality processes and availability for on-call support; willingness to travel to customer sites
