A leading technology consultancy is seeking a Network & Cybersecurity Engineer for a hybrid role in Edinburgh. Job Description:

Whitehall Resources is seeking a Network & Cybersecurity Engineer. This role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days onsite in Edinburgh and the rest remote, for an initial 6-month contract.

Inside IR35

Responsibilities include:

  1. Applying strong knowledge of Software development, lifecycle, and Agile processes.
  2. Creating DevOps pipelines, containerization, etc.
  3. Analyzing cyber vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies.
  4. Establishing cybersecurity guidelines for product development and enforcing them with appropriate tools.
  5. Risk identification and management.
  6. Data management and analysis.

Essential skills and experience:

  1. Understanding of Network & Cyber Security practices, especially in utility systems.
  2. Knowledge of product development in Agile & DevOps environments.
  3. Support experience with utility and power systems.
  4. Effective communication skills for interfacing with customers and teams.
  5. Positive attitude in stressful situations.
  6. Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  7. Familiarity with remote monitoring and diagnostics.

Desirable skills and experience:

  1. Customer success focus and relationship management.
  2. Leadership in strategizing and issue resolution.
  3. Engaging with customers and organizing solution implementation calls.
  4. Technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
  5. Contributing to knowledge bases and troubleshooting issues.
  6. Adherence to quality processes and availability for on-call rotations and travel.
