Approved Technology in Bournemouth is seeking a commercially focused Purchasing and Product Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing and development of our network connectivity product range. You will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimise inventory, negotiate terms, and ensure product availability while improving profitability and regulatory compliance at every stage.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, product management or related commercial role.
• Experience using ERP, stock control, purchasing or product information systems is essential.
• Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Experience in stock control, pricing, margins, MOQs, lead times, supplier performance and product profitability.
• Awareness of lifecycle management, obsolescence risk, allocation, counterfeit risk, supplier quality and compliance requirements.

Responsabilités

• Manage all purchasing and product management activity for the business; source products from authorised suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms and availability.
• Monitor stock levels, sales trends, customer demand, supplier availability and market shortages to inform decisions.
• Review and introduce product ranges to support customer demand and commercial growth.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, warehouse, finance, quality and marketing colleagues.
• Manage supplier relationships including price reviews, performance monitoring and contract terms.
• Analyse product performance, pricing, margins, stock movement and market trends for decisions.
• Manage datasets for the full product range including descriptions, specs, datasheets, images and compliance.
• Involved in sales price list creation and handling compliance queries.
• Ensure purchasing and product management activities comply with ISO 9001 and continuous improvement.
