Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conducting on-site inspections to ensure the highways network's safety and compliance with statutory regulations.
  2. Reporting to the Senior Network Asset Inspector and delivering a customer-centric inspection service.
  3. Supporting enforcement actions in line with the Highways Act 1980 to ensure all third-party actions do not put highway users at risk.
  4. Facilitating compliance through discussions and negotiations in the first instance.
  5. Supporting enforcement actions when non-compliance with the Highways Act 1980 is identified.
  6. Working outside normal hours to ensure the successful delivery of out-of-hours service.
Job Requirements:
  1. Experience in streetworks and a strong understanding of NRSWA regulations.
  2. Familiarity with statutory duties and requirements outlined in the Highways Act 1980.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to achieve compliance through discussions.
  4. Ability to support and facilitate enforcement actions when necessary.
  5. Solid organisational skills and ability to conduct thorough and detailed inspections.
  6. Willingness to work outside of normal hours to meet job requirements.
  7. Committed to delivering a high-quality, customer-centric service.
