Qualifications

Job description

Lead the creation of high and low level network designs for complex IP networks.

Be hands on implementing these solutions, using vendor products such as Cisco.

Work directly with our customers to understand their requirements and use this to inform your solutions.

Work with support teams to enable management and the ongoing support of deployed solutions.

Provide some third line support to deployed solutions.

Provide support to other members of project teams, setting the technical direction for their own deliveries.

You'll definitely have

  • Experience in designing, building, and supporting complex IP networks that are secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing.
  • Ability to set the technical direction for large network solutions, creating high and low level designs.
  • Knowledge of network security design, including firewall, IDS, and IPS.
  • Effective communication of complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A desire to continually update and validate skills.
  • Experience with enterprise routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP, or RSVP.
  • Experience with automation and SDN approaches like Cisco DNAC and Ansible is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Stakeholder management and engagement experience.
  • Possession of a network engineering certification such as CISCO CCNP Routing and Switching is desirable but practical vendor experience is more important.
