Job summary

IT Professional Services Limited is seeking a Network Technical Architect for a hybrid role in the Bath area. The position involves designing, deploying and maintaining complex network solutions, including firewalls, VPNs and security architectures, with a strong focus on Cisco Meraki environments.

You will guide customers through technology transitions, collaborate with sales teams and lead technical discussions with clients and executives while ensuring designs are scalable, secure and aligned

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or in a similar role within an MSP.
• Significant experience in network design and implementation, especially Cisco and Meraki.
• In-depth expertise in designing and delivering complex network solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to rapidly understand technical issues and propose viable technical solutions.
• Ability to communicate highly technical problems to audiences ranging from junior technical colleagues to stakeholders with no technical background.
• Comfortable leading presentations to C-suite executives.
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCDE, CCIE and CMSS, are advantageous.
• 3–5 years’ experience in network engineering with Meraki, Cisco and Fortinet products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Pre-sales teams to understand customer needs.
• Analyze customer network architectures to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
• Produce designs using the best technology options within budget.
• Ensure designs are scalable, secure and highly available.
• Design and implement solutions that can be monitored and patched.
• Lead solution presentations and technical discussions with customers.
• Work with End User, Cloud & Infrastructure and Security teams to fit solutions.
• Produce pre/post-installation documentation.
• Onboard customer networks with thorough documentation and robust monitoring.
