The Role:
As our Network Technology Architect, you will report to the Head of Platforms & Infrastructure and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust network infrastructure solutions across the University's ecosystem.
Your mission is to create a seamless, resilient network infrastructure by designing and implementing enterprise-grade core network services, security controls, and operational building technologies. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams—from cyber security to estates—aligning network architecture with institutional goals and ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence. As the principal technical authority for network design patterns and emerging technologies, this role is a key part of the University's transformative journey towards a modern, zero-trust campus environment.
This position requires a minimum of two days per week on site, although the successful candidate will ideally be available to work on site for additional days when required.

Salary Information:
New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
