Job description

Capgemini is seeking to recruit a Network Architect with experience in large client outsourcing environments to work within client-facing project teams. The role involves architecting, designing, and implementing robust network solutions. The candidate should be a team player with experience supporting geographically dispersed environments and third-party network service providers.

This is a highly technical role focused on service and customer support, including the design, evaluation, and review of major network installations, implementation activities, client support, projects, transitions, due diligence exercises, and developing new business solutions.

Hybrid working: The work location varies between company offices, client sites, and home, but it will not be 100% remote.

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality or immigration status, employment history for the past 3 years, and a criminal record check.

Your role

This varied role requires advanced network skills, including:

  • Designing technical solutions for network components, including cloud services, SDN hardware/software, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, and sizing.
  • Providing innovative ideas, maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, and leading network strategy and leadership for clients, projects, or bids.
  • Reviewing client network infrastructures and proposing improvements.
  • Transforming customer or project specifications into design definitions and leading their implementation.
  • Ensuring compliance with change management processes and accurate delivery according to plans.

Capgemini values diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment where everyone can bring their whole self to work.

Your skills and experience

Expert knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routing, and switching in LAN/WAN/Data Centre/Public Cloud environments is essential. Practical experience with Cisco ACI and other modern networking technologies (e.g., Cisco MSO, NAE, SD WAN, SD Access), automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python), security products (Cisco Firepower, FortiGate), VMware NSX, and additional vendor experience (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is highly desirable.

Your security clearance

Obtaining SC security clearance is required, which involves residency in the UK for the past 5 years and other criteria. Some roles may be restricted to UK nationals.
