Full-time exempt position for TÜV SÜD America. Under the general direction of the Director of IT, provides Server, Storage, and Networking support for the Americas Region. Responsible for ensuring all systems are accessible and issues are resolved promptly across all locations. Establishes, implements, and communicates policies and procedures, ensuring conformance. Occasional off-shift and off-site functions may be required.

Responsibilities

Daily administration and support for all network and remote users in the Americas Region, including but not limited to:

  • Manage a cross-functional team to ensure high support levels in a fast-paced environment across the Americas.
  • Serve as an IT liaison between customers, internal stakeholders, C-level staff, and IT.
  • Manage, coach, develop, and guide the international IT team.
  • Design, configure, maintain, and test the regional Disaster Recovery plan.
  • Develop regional security standards, policies, and procedures in coordination with Global IT teams.
  • Collaborate with global network and server teams to align with worldwide IT standards.
  • Manage and maintain MPLS WAN / SD-WAN using Cisco routers and switches.
  • Manage and maintain a virtual network using VMware, SAN storage, with replication to a DR site.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert, recommending IT solutions using best practices for hardware and software to meet customer and stakeholder needs globally.
  • Manage lifecycle for all production hardware, including planning for refreshes and recycling outdated equipment.
  • Serve as an escalation point, providing guidance to resolve issues and ensure successful service delivery.
  • Support and optimize a global mobile infrastructure using MDM.
  • Provide support for all infrastructure hardware from setup to troubleshooting.
  • Manage technical projects involving new technology implementations, hardware/software upgrades, and other IT initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring tasks and deadlines are met within budget.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Oversee deployment of computer patches using SCCM.
  • Research and provide proof of concepts and ROI analyses for new technologies, supporting standardization.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO27001 certification standards.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field is a plus.
  • 5+ years as a Systems Manager.
  • 5+ years as a Network Manager.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, ITIL) are advantageous.
  • 3-5 years experience with Cisco switches and routers.
  • 3-5 years of end-user support in a Microsoft OS and multi-platform environment.
  • Active Directory experience and/or certification.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office365, Windows Server 201x/202x administration.
  • Azure Administration or Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Azure networking capabilities.
  • Experience with SCCM rollouts and management.
  • Experience with Cisco VoIP is a plus.
  • Experience with Incident Management tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strategic and insightful thinking, good judgment, and opportunity recognition skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
