Job summary

Chaos Industries is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to own the secure network behind a UK defence programme in London. The role covers architecture through day-to-day operations, with on-site work and active UK SC clearance or eligibility to obtain SC.

You will design, deploy and maintain secure networks, manage Palo Alto PAN-OS & Aruba platforms, implement segmentation and zero-trust, ensure RMF/STIG compliance, and support accreditation processes while coordinating with defense partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in network administration in enterprise or DoD environments.
• Hands-on Palo Alto experience (NGFW, Panorama, VPNs).
• Hands-on Aruba experience (switching, wireless, ClearPass NAC).
• Strong TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain secure networks across classified and unclassified environments.
• Run Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama, GlobalProtect) and Aruba switching, wireless and ClearPass.
• Implement segmentation, zero-trust and policy enforcement.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues and support incident response.
• Handle vulnerability remediation, RMF/STIG compliance and system accreditation (ATO).

Own the secure network behind a UK defence programme, from architecture through to day-to-day operations. You’ll own the design, security and uptime of the network that supports critical national security missions.

• Active UK SC clearance (DV preferred), or eligibility to obtain SC
• PCNSE or higher Aruba certifications (ACMP, ACDX, etc.)
• Network automation (Python, Ansible, APIs)
• Cloud networking (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
• Zero Trust / SASE, Zscaler ZIA / ZPA or similar
• High-availability or mission-critical systems background
• Defence contractor or rapid-deployment experience
