Job description

Organisation Activate Management Ltd Salary Up to £580 per week Location Preston, Lancashire Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 27 July 2025 Interview date 28 July 2025 Job Description Location: Kirkham Grammar School, Lancashire (PR4 2BH)
Date: 4th-6th August
Pay: £10.00 - £12.80 per hour (depending on age and experience) + holiday pay

Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM OR 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Contract: Seasonal / Temporary
Travel Expenses: 30p per mile after the first 35 miles per day (lift-share uplifts available)

Activate Camps deliver fun, safe, and skill-enhancing sport & activity holiday camps for children and teenagers. Through teamwork, technical challenges, and gameplay, participants develop their skills while earning points for the exciting Activate Games.


What is Netball Fever?

Netball Fever is a 3-day netball camp tailored for children and teenagers aged 7 to 16 years of age.

On a Netball Fever camp, young netballers take part in a progressive 3-day netball experience developed in collaboration with Super League players. The camp is designed to cover all aspects of netball, making it ideal for players of every level.

Your Role as a Netball Coach:

Lead a group of children, delivering structured and engaging netball sessions.
Encourage teamwork and sportsmanship through our BEST (Bravery, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship, Teamwork) ethos.
Ensure all sessions, especially net and hard-ball activities, are conducted safely.
Support camp operations, including set-up, registration, and supervision during breaks.
Communicate with parents when required and contribute to the overall camp experience.


What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

A Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one).
Sound safeguarding understanding.
A basic understanding of Health and Safety.
Experience of leading a group.
Experience delivering netball coaching independently.
Passionate about working with children.
Hold an England Netball L1 (or above) coaching qualification or equivalent.
Detailed knowledge of netball.

Desirable:

Good ability to communicate with parents.
Previous experience working on a netball camp.
Evidence of regular CPD.
