Net Developer

Location: Bournemouth office 3-5 days per week, up to 2 days remote working.

Hours: Monday to Friday (with flexi-time and hybrid working options).

Salary: Subject to Experience.

Role Description

Appius has a great opportunity available for a .Net Developer to join our incredible Development Team. You will work alongside a passionate team of developers, designing and building software and modules within our content management systems leveraging Sitecore, Optimizely, Sitefinity, and Umbraco. Your responsibilities include developing customer portals, integrations with third-party solutions, CRM, payment gateways, and other RESTful interfaces and bespoke modules.

As a .Net Developer, you and the team are responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of client websites and web applications. You will produce software specifications, plan, prototype, and collaborate with internal and external teams across projects. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle.

Training And Development Investment

At Appius, we invest in training our developers in our core platforms and technologies through structured training plans aiming to certify our developers in our core CMS platforms, working with CMS partners for onsite and offsite training. We also provide access to Pluralsight for online training and skill development, along with on-the-job training with our Head of Development.

Must Haves

• ASP .NET MVC (C#, .NET, Razor)
• Web services (e.g., WCF, SOAP, RESTful, WebAPI)
• Experience delivering solutions to documented requirements
• Minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience with platforms such as Optimizely and/or Sitecore
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Client-side frameworks (e.g., Angular, VueJS, React, Node)
• Strong SQL skills leveraging ADO.NET or Entity Framework
• Experience with enterprise content management systems
• Familiarity with architectural and design patterns
• Understanding of source control management, e.g., Azure DevOps
